I am currently working as Software Development Engineer at Amazon in Alexa organization for the past 2.5 years. My work involved designing and implementing backend APIs including Batch APIs along with partial read.

I have deprecated a customer facing service and consolidating its functionality into a central service by building parity APIs.

I worked with many AWS products like, Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Glue, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline any many others.

I pursued my Masters in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, where my course work included, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Structures and Algorithms etc..

After my Undergrad, I started my Professional journey by joining Tata Consultancy Services as a Software Developer where I built applications based on C#, ASP.NET and Visual Basic in conjunction with SQL as the database.

I am more passionate to learn new things, diving deep into problems and finding solutions.

Software Development Engineer - I

• Designed and implemented RESTful Batch API along with Partial read using Amazon API Gateway with Lambda proxy integration, CompletableFutures with timeouts to deliver dynamic recommendations in ranked order on Profile Page of Alexa devices and Alexa App.
• Designed and implemented event-driven triggers incorporating with delayed request processing to deliver push notifications on Alexa App upon user log-in. Leveraged SNS, SQS and EventBridge which delivers 2000 notifications per second resulting in improvement of CTR by 15%.
• Deprecated a customer facing service and consolidated its functionality into a centralized service. Created parity APIs to ensure seamless transition, which reduced the operational costs by around 30%.
• Introduced a trigger gateway module which converts events of diverse formats into well-defined requests using rule matching expressions and JOLT transformer specs. This module is being used by 20 different events.
• Utilized AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to create CloudFormation stacks and built utility methods to create AWS resources. These utility methods are then used to create around 50 alarms, 4 DynamoDB tables, 7 Evidently features.
• Reduced code deployment time by 1hour by using pub-sub mechanism to assert on messages received instead of relying on CloudWatch logs.
• Achieved a 30% reduction in service costs, by aggregating CloudWatch alarms, removing unwanted logs, optimizing provisioned concurrency, reducing memory allocated.
• Mentored an intern by providing feedback on design documents, conducting code reviews and providing clarifications. This helped the intern in securing a full time offer. Additionally, appointed as a mentor for a new hire and guided him to deliver distributed cache solution using DynamoDB.

• Scrapped cricbuzz and ICC websites using beautiful soup and obtained required data.
• Performed Exploratory Data Analysis to check the distribution of the data and detect possible outliers.
• Built Linear Regression, KNN Regression models to predict the points for a team to find the winner.

They need food and shelter
